Last year, there were rumors that Takeoff was dating Katy Perry but they were false.  MTO News claimed the rapper was dating Perry because they were spotted together at a Saturday Night Live afterparty.

Takeoff was born Kirshnik Ball on June 18, 1994 in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  Quavo and Offset were also born in Lawrenceville.  Quavo is only 4 years older than Takeoff but he’s his uncle.  Takeoff’s mother is Quavo’s sister.  Offset and Quavo are cousins.Quavo’s mother raised the boys in her small house.  The group recently bought Quavo’s mother a brand new house to thank her for her support.  Quavo started his career as a solo artist named Crunk Boy when he was in the 8th grade.  He eventually teamed up with Offset and Takeoff to form a group.  The trio originally called themselves Polo Club.

2009-2017

Takeoff, Quavo and Offset sold drugs but were getting tired of the streets.  The trio changed their name to the Migos and in 2011 they released their first mixtape, Juug Season.  A year later, the group released their second mixtape, No Label.

In 2013, the group released their hit song, “Versace” and instantly became one of the most popular group’s in the industry.  Migos’ 2016 song “Bad and Boujee” took their careers to the next level, reminding the industry that they truly are the culture.

2018-Present

The future is bright for Takeoff and the Migos.  At the 6 minute mark of the video below, Angela Yee asks Takeoff about his upcoming mixtape with Lil Yachty.  She wants to know if it will be an album or mixtape and Takeoff responds, “Just wait on it!”
