Kandi’s baby daddy, Russell “Block” Spencer was brought up in episode 14 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s ninth season, “Loose Lips Sink Ships.” The episode reminded us to make lemonade out of life’s lemons.  Kandi’s daughter hit the studio to record a song about her father.  Check out a snippet of the track in the Instagram post below:

Kandi Burruss baby father, Block was seen on the last episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta.  Russell “Block” Spencer is the founder and CEO of Block Entertainment.  The record label helped Yung Joc and Boys N the Hood deliver hit records.  Block and Andrew “Gotti” Couser founded the company in 2005.

In season 9, episode 4, “Another Spin Around the Block” we see Kandi’s mother, Mama Joyce have a heated debate with Kandi over Block’s habits.  Mama Joyce reveals that Block has ignored his child support payments for his daughter, Riley.  Kandi explains that the payments are not the only thing he’s ignored: Block has gone years without speaking to Riley.

In the words of Drake, “Sad story, black American dad story.” We’ve seen this far too many times.  Twenty years from now, Block will wonder why Riley wants nothing to do with him.  If you don’t spend time with your children when they’re young, don’t expect them to spend time with you when they are old enough to see what kind of parent you are.

While Mama Joyce focuses on Block’s delinquent child support payments, time is what Riley really needs from her father.  The tweet below explains that Block is too late to attempt to co-parent Riley.

The following tweet explains that Block must focus on establishing a bond with Riley.  Better late than never.
If you’re a father, please do everything you can to be in your child’s life.
