Cuba Gooding Jr.’s daughter, Piper was born in 2005.  Cuba filed for divorce from his wife, Piper’s mother, Sara Kapfer Gooding.  Cuba and Sara were married for more than 20 years and they have three kids together.  Gooding’s oldest son, Spencer, was born in 1994.  Sara gave birth to their second son, Mason, in 1996.

Cuba and Sara have been experiencing marital problems for years.  In 2014, Sara filed a petition for separation.  Cuba is now asking for joint custody of Piper who is currently 10-years-old.  Relationships can be very difficult to maintain when you’re as busy as Gooding.  In 1991, he played Tre Styles in Boyz n the Hood.  Since then, he’s kept very busy.  In 2013, he teamed up with Empire creator, Lee Daniels in The Butler.

Cuba is currently worth about $15 million.  While he’s wealthy, his net worth doesn’t compare to actors like Denzel Washington or Will Smith.  Denzel is currently worth $140 million and Smith is worth $250 million.

In 2016, Gooding proved that he was one of the most talented actors in Hollywood.  He played O.J. Simpson in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.  The series won the trophy for Outstanding Limited Series at the Emmy Awards.
