Young Jeezy Net Worth 2018: $15 Million
Young Jeezy’s net worth is $15 million according to Bankrate. He earned his wealth through his career as a rapper and entrepreneur. Jeezy, T.I. and Gucci Mane helped pave the way for Atlanta rappers like Migos, 21 Savage and Young Thug.
Young Jeezy was born Jay Jenkins on September 28, 1977 in South Carolina. He moved to Atlanta after his parents separated. He was raised by a single mother and was always getting into trouble. When Jeezy was 17 he was sent to a boot camp for narcotics possession.
Jeezy eventually got tired of getting into trouble and wanted to find a legal way to provide for his family. He had compelling stories to tell about his experiences in the streets so he decided to pursue a career as a rapper.
In 2001, Jeezy released his first album: Thuggin Under The Influence (T.U.I.) under the name Lil J. Two years later he changed his name to Young Jeezy and released his second album, Come Shop Wit Me. In 2004, Jeezy and his group, Boyz n da Hood signed a record deal with Bad Boy. They released their first album in 2005.
Jeezy’s life changed in 2005 when he released Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The album made made him a household name and he hasn’t looked back since.
On March 22, 2018, Jeezy announced that he’s retiring. His last album and final class will be Trust Ya Process. It’s difficult to believe rappers when they claim they’re retiring. In 2003, Jay-Z announced that The Black Album would be his final album. Since then, the rapper has released 5 studio albums.
