It looks like Cardi B was not playing when she announced a few months ago on Instagram live that she would not be returning to Love and Hip-Hop: New York next season. It looks like the Bronx native has much bigger things on the horizon.
The Jasmine Brand is reporting that Cardi B has just snagged a major deal with Atlantic Records, we're talking to the tune of several million dollars. A source said, "They believe in Cardi’s talent. She’s signed a multi-million dollar deal with Atlantic. She wants to focus on music and be taken serious. It’s hard for her to do that with all the drama she’s involved in on the show."
Cardi B was clearly the best part of Love and Hip-Hop: New York, so we're not sure what the series is going to look like next year. However, we wish Cardi the best of luck. Just like Amber Rose, it's clear that she isn't going to let the people who try to vilify her for her past stand in her way.
Cardi most recently killed the game at New York Fashion Week, snagged a fashion spread with Rayar Jeans and dropped her latest track "Lick" featuring Offset.
Cleary, the Dominican/Trinidadian beauty is not here to play.
