Lakers Nation reports that Jordan Clarkson is ready for the 2016-17 NBA season. No disrespect to Kobe Bryant, but Jordan was the Lakers' best offensive player last year, averaging 15.5 points per game. Kobe averaged 17.6 points per game but Clarkson's field goal percentage was 43.3 percent compared to Bryant's 35.8 percent.
According to Daily News the Lakers' guard recently signed a four-year extension worth $50 million. Similar to former NBA player, Gilbert Arenas Jordan had to prove himself after being selected in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft. Clarkson was selected 46th whereas Gilbert was selected 31st in the 2001 NBA draft. Make sure you're following all of Jordan's social media accounts!

Arenas enjoyed his best years in the NBA from 2003-2010 with the Washington Wizards the same team that drafted Clarkson in 2014. After being selected by the Wizards he was immediately traded to the Lakers. Jordan wouldn't have received playing time with the Wizards. Their starting point guard is NBA All-Star, John Wall and their starting shooting guard is Bradley Beal.
Jordan's secret to success was surrounding himself with greatness. During his rookie season, the Filipino-American star focused on learning anything he could from Kobe and it has paid off. We can't wait to see Clarkson throughout the 2016-17 NBA season which starts on October 25, 2016!
